  • How Do You Grow As A Writer?
2 ways: 1. I join different competitiions. During the writing of "A Cinderella Christmas", I joined the 100 for 100 competition with Go Teen Writers, and then I also tried out a free trial with the Author's Learning Center. 2. I try my best to get people I don't know read it and give me feedback on it. During the development of To Those Who Wait, I allowed the book to be free on Wattpad for people to read it and give me feedback while I was writing the book. I don't know if I used this to grow as a writer, but I read Stephen King's "On Writing", and it was really good.
  • How Long Have You Been Writing?
I have been writing since I was in kindergarten, so literally since I could pick up a pencil and form letters, I have been writing my own stories. I have always wanted to become an author, and now that I plan to self-publish my book, my dream is coming to be more and more true.
  • More About Me!
Favorite Dessert: Ice Cream Favorite Color: Teal If you couldn’t be an author you’d be… a business woman Favorite Food: PASTAAA!!! Coffee or Tea? Coffee. I really don't like tea, iced or hot.
  • Where Do You Get Your Inspiration?
i get my inspiration from family members or TV shows I watch or other books I read. For example, with my book "A Cinderella Christmas": 1. the idea came from my love for fairytale revisions 2. it is a YA book because that is my favorite genre 3. I had help coming up with the idea of using my love for fairytale revisions from my friends in my Creative Writing Club when I was in high school.
  • Where Are Your Books Set? Why?
I typically like to set my books in Northern California or North Carolina just because those are the two places I have lived and those are the two places I am the most familiar with, so I know I won't have any inconsistencies.
  • Where are you from?/Where do you live now?
I am originally from a very small town called Pollock Pines in Northern California, the halfway point from Sacramento to South Lake Tahoe. I currently live in Raleigh, the capital of North Carolina, but I am moving in August back to California to go to California State University of Sacramento.
  • What Is Your Writing Process?
Honestly, I just sit down and write. Then I rewrite it, and I continually rewrite it as many times as I feel like I want/need to. I plan to hire editors from Fiverr for my two books I am publishing, and that is about it.
